The Royal Standard Hotel - Ely

Fairly clean hotel, lovely beds, delicious breakfasts and attentive staff. Nice enough area, central location near train station, the attractions such as Ely Cathedral and the cathedral. Easy check in and in general exceptional service. With warm reception.

The royal standard is a charming old building, beautifully updated while keeping unique touches like the old bread oven by the bar. It's conveniently located just a short walk from the cathedral, river, and shops. The full english breakfast was excellent, especially the homemade spicy black pudding. The staff were super friendly and immediately helped us with our bed arrangement.

The room was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely old charm. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to local bars and restaurants. We enjoyed a relaxing bath and found the staff friendly. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and we appreciated the free parking provided.

The road was quite busy, and the noise levels could be a bit much.

Couple getaway well done

We had a cozy room with a lovely rainfall shower that was like pure luxury & the mattress was so comfy, I slept like a baby. The breakfast was really good, best full English I've ever had, it was quite the way to start the day.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive but you know what, worth every penny I spent.

The junior suite was comfortable, and the staff were really good and so helpful! The vibe was lively, and the food was tasty. It's ideally located near the cathedral. Breakfast was fab, and the coffee was delicious!

We had a fantastic time! The unique walk-in shower was a game-changer, and the breakfast choice was astonishing-steak and eggs, anyone? I'd return just for that breakfast!

The room was beautifully decorated. Breakfast stole the show. Every bite of the full English was lovely! Don't miss this place. You won't want to eat anywhere else.

The beautiful double room with bath was spacious and cozy. Had air conditioning, a shower, a hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries like shampoo and body soap. Breakfast was very nice, with options like fresh pastries and a hearty full English. Staff was super helpful, and free parking at the back made everything easy.

The room was a bit noisy from the street and we found some dust on surfaces. The parking info could've been clearer from the start.
